In Elizabeth’s words: β€œI’ve devoted my career to helping individuals heal, grow and express themselves through the medium of dance. My goal is to empower individuals to embrace their unique movement narratives, foster healing, and create positive change.”

Elizabeth is a passionate and dedicated dance/movement therapist who believes in the healing power of movement and the arts. She is a board-certified dance/movement therapist and is certified in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders from Postpartum Support International. Elizabeth received her BA in Dance from Rider University and MS in dance/movement therapy from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Prior to becoming a clinician, Elizabeth danced pre-professionally with American Repertory Ballet in Princeton, NJ. She pursued extensive training in various dance forms such as ballet, modern, improvisation and jazz from Princeton Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet School. During her dance education, Elizabeth developed a keen interest in psychology and understanding the mind-body connection.

Elizabeth has been practicing since 2013 and has worked with a variety of diverse populations, including children and adults with developmental disabilities, ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorders, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, substance abuse disorders and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She has also worked with seniors seeking to enhance their well-being. She is a trained support group facilitator for new moms struggling with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and she often incorporates dance/movement therapy into sessions by allowing moms to explore their emotions, improve body awareness, improve attunement and connectedness with their baby and foster self-expression through movement.

In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time outside with her husband and three young children and baking sugar cookies (she has a licensed bakery and creates custom sugar cookies). She also enjoys working out and riding her Peloton.

Elizabeth practices out of our Cold Spring office.
