Infant Mental Health & Early Childhood Development
Dancing Dialogue has a unique specialization and expertise in fostering the healthy development, well-being and attachment relationships of infants and toddlers. Our work with very young children and their caregivers takes place in our large, multi-sensory space and focuses on play, safety and communication.
Children
Working with children and their caregivers is a primary focus of our practice. Tapping into children’s innate strengths— their playfulness, creativity and imagination— to help them cope with any difficulties or struggles that they may be experiencing. Our embodied, active play space facilitates our work with children who are neuro-diverse, have specific sensory needs and/ or lots of energy.
Adolescents
The physical, emotional, and social development that happens during adolescence makes it one of the most full, dynamic and, at times, challenging parts of the life span. All of our treatment of adolescents promotes self-knowledge and expression, safety and confidentiality as well as supportive parenting sessions for their caregivers.
Couples & Families
Strong and loving family relationships and romantic partnerships are primary to our stability and well-being. We approach couples and family therapy from a systemic, creative, trauma-informed and embodied perspective.
Caregivers & Parents
Being a caregiver is challenging and exceptionally important work! Parenting support is an integral and required component in the therapy we do with children and adolescents and can also be offered as a stand-alone service. We also provide support to those caring for dependent adults.
Older Adults
Older adulthood is a time of growth, transformation, transition and meaning-making. Our creative, trauma-informed, embodied approach to healing informs our approach to working with those in this generative and pivotal portion of the life span.
Medically Fragile Persons & Chronic Illness
We practice integrative and holistic therapy at Dancing Dialogue that is embodied and trauma-informed, a key component of this practice, is to see what is happening in the body as deeply related to what’s going on emotionally and cognitively. We approach acute and chronic illness through the lens of total wellness.
