Most parents already watch their children closely, but knowing what to look for is what turns everyday observation into points of connection.

The challenge for many parents is that these cues can be small, fast, and easy to miss, especially when lif You don’t need to wait for a baby to talk in order to connect with them. In fact, some of the most important communication happens before their first word ever forms.

One of the core things I support caregivers and professionals in learning is
Big emotions in children often show up as big behavior—yelling, kicking, refusal to listen, slamming doors. It can feel loud, disruptive, and confusing, especially when it seems to come out of nowhere.

But in Dance/Movement Therapy, we underst Most kids don’t learn to calm down just by being told to.

That’s because when a child is having big feelings, their brain and body are working hard to manage what’s happening inside.
